YEP and REI at Work

On November 14th the Colorado Mountain Club’s (CMC) Youth Education program teamed up with REI to bring our mountain weather and climbing class to a group of 5th graders from Stedman Elementary in Denver.  The Youth Education program reaches over 5,000 students each year through a variety of experiential education programs.  We have been lucky enough to work with REI Denver to use their climbing wall in an effort to reach schools who would be otherwise unable to make it all the way out to our headquarters in Golden, Colorado.

If you like the work that we're doing or what to help, then contact us! CMC’s Youth Education Program (YEP) relies heavily on our dedicated volunteers.  For more information on volunteering with YEP contact Ryan Johns at ryanjohns@cmc.org.
